     Wood is the most important building material given to us by nature. The wood we use breathes and provides the optimum level of humidity for the house. The logs are the most beautiful modern wall material.
     I'd like to say a couple of words about "winter forest". It is no secret that the log shells made in winter are much better than the log shells made in other times of the year. The motion of the water in the tree trunks in winter is the lowest, therefore the log shell is drier and has less cracks. So, I would advise you to choose a log shell from the wood provided by the "winter forest."
      TThe log shells conduct very little heat. You have noticed the freshness inside log houses, haven't you? It's because the wood breathes. The logs play the role of an air filter and it creates a unique microclimate inside the house. Have you noticed that it is warm inside the log shell in winter and cool in the summer? That is one more advantage of the log house.
      We make log shells in two different ways:

              Saddle Notch:                                                                                                                Dovetail:

     Which one to choose? Well, you are the boss. Yes, "Saddle Notch" is more stable, but you'll have more spare space if you'll choose "Dovetail". For large log shells (more than 8 meters) I would advise using "Saddle Notch" for stability. For small log shells it is possible to use "Dovetail" with no problems.
